Spinnin' Records / by Alex Schreer

Recently a friend and fellow designer was intrigued by my personal record player, that I had fabricated to resemble a Louis Vuitton Trunk, and wanted one for himself. We decided to embark on a collaborative effort to design and build a second one off unit. Below is a preliminary rendering of the design, and features bent steel legs, and reclaimed north pacific grey wood. I grew a affinity for Pacific aged wood during my journey up the Pacific Coast Highway on my way to Vancouver.

Upcycled from a filing cabinet, the body will present itself as a long narrow box, keeping the stance low to the ground will emphasize the units length. So in the coming weeks head over to Instagram (IG: Schreerdesign) to watch the build.
